So where do I stand in this whole mess? I don't really know, to be honest. I'm a fence-sitter. On one hand, I don't agree in breaking the law (and then telling our kids that they have to follow our rules whether they like it or not when teachers aren't doing that exactly) but on the other hand, I agree that the law is crappy. Such huge dilemma. But in the end, I guess I still support the teachers...after all, that will be my life career and I strongly agree that we need better classroom resources and such. So in the long term, I hope that something positive will come out of this mess and that our education system will improve and our kids will get a better education.
One thing I hafta add tho, it's sucky to be a student teacher right now, not knowing how this strike will affect my practicum.
